Dear Madam/Sir,
DUTA invites you for a Press Conference on Thursday 29.12.2022 at 1.00 pm at DUTA Office on the following issues.
Notifications on Batch Size of Class/Tutorial/Practical & 40 Hours: With reference to the notifications issued by the Registrar, University of Delhi dated 11/11/2022 (No. Acad1/class size/2022/754) and No. Estab-T/Workload/2022/1883 dated 14.11.2022, DUTA warns the University administration through DUTA letters dated 07.12.2022 and 15.12.2022. Unfortunately, University has decided to go ahead with the increase of class size/ tutorial and practical batch size. The two notifications dated 11.11.2022 & 14.11.2022 are going to affect the academic environment and teaching-learning process. The increased teachers taught ratio in Class/Practical/Tutorial is going to negatively affect the DU academic and teaching positions.
Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate (Under NEP): UGC through a public notice dated 12.12.2022 asked all the Higher Educational Institutes to adopt the Curriculum and Credit Framework for Undergraduate Programmes . DUTA is opposed to any academic dilution in terms of credits and the structure. DUTA is also opposed to withdrawal of three year Honous Courses.
DUTA requests you to depute Staff Correspondent/Reporter for the coverage of the Press Conference.
