18.3.2021

Dear colleagues,

We salute Staff Associations for mobilising teachers for the mass action programmes and making them  successful.  Thousands of teachers participated in the DUTA action programmes  despite the ongoing health crisis. The 12 Colleges  that are 100% funded by Delhi Government also strengthened the DUTA's call by holding dharnas and other action programmes in their respective colleges. It is our agitation which has forced the Delhi Government to respond.

A delegation of DUTA Office Bearers and DUPA (Principal's Association) also met the Vice Chancellor and Dean, Colleges on 15.3.2021 and urged their intervention on the issue of Pattern of Assistance and the 17.2.2021 Order of the Finance Dept which gives additional charge of these Colleges to Sr Government Officials. We were promised that the University will uphold its rules and regulations. Subsequently, the University has written to the Delhi Government about its objections regarding Pattern of Assistance.

We request Staff Associations to send their resolutions by tomorrow, 19 March 2021 for the  Extended DUTA Executive scheduled for 20 March. Notice for the meeting is as follows. The meeting will be held in the DUTA Office.
