Dear colleagues,

Please find enclosed the DUTA GBM Resolution of 26.2.2020. The following was adopted as the future course of action. In order to mobilise teachers and students for these action programmes, we request Staff Associations to hold meetings and inform DUTA so that teams can attend these meetings.

Future Course of Action

The general body decided to lift the evaluation boycott. However, the General Body decided to continue the sit-in outside the Vice Chancellor’s Office to press for our unresolved demands. Further, it decided that if the screening of application forms is not as per the 5 Dec Record of Discussion, teachers will refuse to participate in the screening process.
*Mass action programmes to be held over next few weeks*

5 March 2020: The DUTA will organize March to Parliament on 5 March 2020 to highlight our key issues including Absorption, Promotion, pension, illegal recoveries, VC removal and opposition to NEP 2019.

19 March 2020: As part of the pan-India forum Joint Forum for Movement on Education, the DUTA will mobilise teachers, students and non-teaching staff for massive participation in the JFME Rally on 19.3.2020. JFME as a platform aims at forging solidarity amongst teachers, non-teaching staff and students across the country to build the core of a massive movement in defence of public funded education and for reversing the existing trend of commercialisation of education and contractualisation of services of teachers and non-teaching staff. It aims to get citizens at large to join hands in protest actions.

26- 27.3.2020:  The DUTA will organize “Shiksha Samvad” – College-wise protest programmes on 26.3.2020 and 27.3.20 to interact with students on issues adversely affecting teachers and education as well as our opposition to DNEP 2019. DUTA will issue a leaflet addressed to students for this programme.

31.3.2020: Citizen’s March on 31 March 2020 for our demand for Absorption, promotions and pension and against educational policies aimed at dismantling public funded universities.

Schedule for Sit-in

We once again appeal to Staff Associations to mobilise participation in the ongoing sit-in at the Vice Chancellor's Office. The sit-in has entered 88th day and we appreciate the efforts of those who have helped to sustain it. The Staff Associations are requested to participate in the sit-in as per the following Roster.
