Dear colleagues,

As you know we are in the middle of an important movement and the sit-in outside the Vice Chancellor's Office is continuing. The DUTA salutes relentless efforts of many of our colleagues in making the sit-in successful. We have completed over 56 days of the sit-in! In order to make it an important vibrant mass action programmes, we had requested Staff Associations to make Rosters. A suggestion has come to the DUTA to make Roster of colleges instead and ask colleges to take responsibility on those assigned dates. We have prepared the following schedule for the next few days. Staff Associations are requested to mobilise their members to participate in large numbers in the sit-in.  Colleges may also mobilise their students to be part of the protests on the dates allotted to them and join the sit-in.

Student-teacher mobilisation is also crucial to make the Long March to Parliament successful. The details of the Long March will be released shortly.

Further, as informed in our last email, the DUTA Drafting Committee has prepared a questionnaire to conduct a survey. This will be used to strengthen our demand for one-time Regulation for Absorption as per DoPT Roster. We appeal to teachers working on ad-hoc/temporary basis to take part in it and fill the form online. Keeping in mind the need to prepare comprehensive documents, the Press Conference on the Absorption  has been postponed from 30 January and will be held shortly.

We once again appeal to Staff Associations to participate in the sit-in as per the Roster.

President, DUTA
