The DUTA salutes relentless efforts of many of our colleagues in making the sit-in successful. We have completed over 56 days of the sit-in! GBM Resolution: 17.01.2020 To President/Secretary/Office Bearers Staff Association _________________ _________________ 17.1.2020 Dear colleagues, The DUTA General Body in its meeting held on 16.1.2020 decided to withdraw Indefinite Strike in the view of resolutions/feedback received from Staff Associations and students' interest. The movement will be carried forward through Evaluation and Screening Boycott and  sit-in at the VC's Office.  We request Staff Associations to create rosters for participation in the sit-in. Teachers protest at Vidhan Sabha against delay in release of additional teachers posts against EWS Expansion The teachers of Delhi University gathered today outside the Delhi Vidhan Sabha to protest delay by the Delhi Government in the release of funds  to the twelve 100% Delhi Government funded DU colleges. The 25% EWS expansion in the student strength was implemented  in DU starting from this academic year (2019-2020). In view of the extension of reservation to EWSs and consequent increase in intake of students, it is crucial that funds are released for additional teaching and non-teaching posts and for infrastructure requirements. These additional posts are also essential to mitigate crisis for a large number of teachers working on ad-hoc basis who are about to face loss of jobs as 10% of teaching posts have been reserved for EWS category now.
