Sub: Regarding Retirement Gratuity and Death Gratuity under NPS

Dear Prof. Singh,

We have been repeatedly writing to you on issues of the Retirement Gratuity and the Death Gratuity under NPS, with our last letter written to you on 8.11.2018. It is extremely unfortunate that despite our constant reminders, the UGC has not yet facilitated the restoration of both these gratuities to teachers under NPS.

The absence of the Retirement Gratuity and the Death Gratuity has caused irreparable damage to affected teaching and non-teaching staff, putting them and their families to severe disadvantage. We, once again, appeal to you to positively intervene in this matter and restore both these gratuities to teachers under NPS.
