Sub: Appeal to release funds immediately to Delhi Government maintained Delhi University Colleges

Dear Sir,

The Delhi Government maintained colleges of Delhi University have not received funds from Delhi University for the past two months. As a result, the teaching staff and karamcharis have not yet received salaries for a month now. Some colleges have not yet been able to give summer salaries to ad hoc teachers because of lack of fund. The Staff in these colleges have been facing endless personal and social hardships.

We have repeatedly written to you to release the funds. The University of Delhi has also now released an additional list of names for the formation of the Governing body of the Delhi Government maintained colleges. We again appeal to you to ensure that adequate grants be released immediately to give relief to the staff who remain unfairly trapped in the tussle between the University and Delhi Government.

Looking forward to a positive response from you,

With warm regards,

Rajib Ray
President, DUTA
