DUTA Letter to Sh. Manish Sisodia, 31.7.2017

DUTA Letter to Sh. Manish Sisodia, 31.7.2017 Sh. Manish Sisodia Dy. Chief Minister Delhi Government July 31, 2017 Sub: Appeal to withdraw decision to freeze funds colleges funded by Delhi Government Dear Shri Manish Sisodia, The teachers and students of the 28 Delhi Government-funded colleges are most perturbed at your decision to freeze the funds. While we completely support your insistence that governing bodies in these colleges must be fully-formed and that DU has no right to delay the process or continue functioning with truncated governing bodies, we cannot accept such a harsh decision which penalises teachers and students for no fault of theirs. You are hence requested to withdraw the decision to freeze funds immediately, and take up the matter with the Vice Chancellor directly. Regards,                                                   NANDITA NARAIN President, DUTA SANDEEP Secretary, DUTA Get regular DUTA

DUTA Letter to the VC, 31.7.2017

DUTA Letter to the VC, 31.7.2017 Prof. Yogesh Tyagi Vice Chancellor University of Delhi Delhi – 110007 July 31, 2017 Sub: Urgent Appeal to complete process of formation of full governing bodies for all colleges Dear Prof. Tyagi,                                           We are deeply disappointed that,  despite repeated appeals and reminders, the DU administration has been delaying the formation of full governing bodies in many DU colleges. We find no justification in the frivolous EC decision to delay the process by constituting a Committee for a purpose that could have been easily sorted out within a working week. Now, due to no fault of theirs, teachers and students of 28 Delhi Government-funded colleges are being forced to face a funds freeze. Please consider this letter as an urgent appeal to complete the process at the earliest so that an unsavoury and embarassing situation can be avoided and the colleges can be immediately reliev

DUTA Letter, 26.07.2017

DUTA Letter, 26.07.2017 26.7.2017 The Principal/ HOD/ Dean ……………………………………. ……………………………………. University of Delhi                   Sub: Re-appointment of ad-hoc teachers, Summer Salary and Ex-gratia Payment Dear Colleagues, We had requested you in our earlier letter dated 5th July, 2017, to renew services of ad hoc teachers working in your college/ Department and to hold interviews for additional posts only. We request you to release the summer salary of all ad-hocs who have rejoined on 20th July, 2016 in keeping with Ordinance XII Clause 3(4). We have come to know that, in some cases, the ad-hoc teachers have not been retained despite the post continuing. In some other cases, long-serving ad-hocs have been displaced due to change of category. This is a violation of EC Resolution 64 that lays down the process of re-assignment of posts only when the post is withdrawn from a particular department on account of decrease in workload. We appeal to you to have the r
