5 March UGC Notification on Roster leads to crisis in DU, teachers protest Hundreds of teachers participated in a DUTA Protest Rally and burned an effigy of the Vice Chancellor as the University fails to respond to the crisis generated by the 5 March UGC Notification on Roster. Delhi University and colleges have been following the 200 point Roster using the College/University as a unit on the basis of EC Resolution 64, 28.09.13, as per UGC guidelines of 2006. The UGC Notification of 5 March 2018 directed all universities to revise the Rosters for teaching posts treating the Department/Subject as a unit rather than the University/College. Since Departments/ Subjects are often quite small units, it has resulted in a massive reduction of ST, SC and OBC seats.
