DUTA resolves to intensfy agitation, involving students and mobilising public opinion More than a thousand teachers participated in the DUTA General Body Meeting held in the Auditorium, Hansraj College after which the teachers marched to the VC Office to demand permanent appointments on urgent basis, regularisation/absorption of adhoc and temprary teachers and resolution of issues related to promotions and pensions. In the GBM, which was called to discuss 7th Pay Revision and UGC draft Regulations, speaker after speaker underlined the crisis as the Government pushes for commercialisation of public funded higher education, leading to massive hike fees and detioration of service and working conditions of teachers and non-teaching employees. The GB resolved to intensify the struggle in the coming days by involving students and mobilising public opinion. The DUTA will initiate an Online Signature Campaign amongst teachers, students, parents, researchers and concerned citizen
