VICTORY FOR TEACHERS IN PENSION CASE! The DUTA welcomes the judgment of the Hon'ble Double Bench of Justice Ravinder Bhatt in a case concerning grant of pension(GPF) to University and College employees who had been incorrectly placed in the CPF(lump sum) scheme by their administration despite the then Government Policy of placing all incumbent employees in GPF. This has come as a great relief to teachers of all categories, especially those who had retired and were facing tremendous financial hardship with no pension. In April 2014, the learned Bench of Justice Shakdher had given relief to two categories of petitioners, which was stayed in September that year as a result of an appeal filed before the Hon'ble Double Bench by Delhi University under the direction of the Vice Chancellor Prof Dinesh Singh.
